I do like the idea of the UT type dodging and the grapplehook, and the multiplayer appears to be infinitely better.īeing able to join with friends and invade other player's solo game as demons is incredible. The enemy design was pretty atrocious, but Eternal addresses that at least. It needs specialized, deliberate enemy placement, not gore nests spawning waves of enemies while locking you in a room until you kill them and the game decides to let you pass.
Hate the fact your chiansaw is just insta kill ammo replenish tool, otherwise totally useless., ENTIRELY too much focus on glory kills, and the fact every time you do it you get showered with HP. Doomguy doesn't need a powersuit, never had one, doesn't need one, appealing to modern people with double jumps and ledge mantling and such is all that's for. The game needs better map design, actual secrets, no more pointless weapon upgrades, just give me the full potential of the gun when I obtain it. Doom2016 was probably the best modern shooter there is, but that said, being the best turd in the bowl isn't exactly something to write home about.
